Chairs molded from cold cured molding foam—Yeman chair is crafted from molding foam as well—usually share a common flaw: uniform hardness across the entire seat structure. This often results in seating that is either overly stiff or excessively soft. It is challenging to achieve an ideal density that preserves the chair’s sculpted silhouette while delivering a pleasant seating experience.
To address this pain point, we developed a separate custom mold exclusively for the seat cushion to produce a softer molding foam insert. As a result, the chair retains its smooth, uninterrupted contour lines, while still has comfortable seating support.
